BASS writes the bass sound and the bassline together. Choose a key and a style, press BITE, and you get a bass that fits. Press again for another one.
BASS is a bassline generator plugin for house, garage, techno and the music around them. Choose a key and a style, press BITE, and it writes a bass sound and a bassline together, in the key and scale you picked. Not the one? Press again. Like the sound but not the line? Lock the sound and press again.
Drag the line out of BASS onto any track as MIDI and play it with a synth of your own, or drag it out as 24-bit audio. In time, looping clean, slides and accents included.
Fourteen styles, so the line sounds like the music you make: HOUSE, DEEP, DISCO, GARAGE, TECH, TECHNO, RAVE, UKG, DNB, Y2K, LO-FI, EXP, LIQUID and ACID.
Locked to the scale you pick: major, minor, dorian, phrygian, harmonic minor, pentatonic, mixolydian or lydian. Move the line up or down a register with OCT.
SUB, SLIDE, CUT, DRIVE, DECAY and PUMP, and a BEEF button for more weight. All six knobs automate.
BASS needs nothing else installed. If you also have STAB, our chord stab plugin, open both in the same session and BASS finds STAB by itself and follows its key, scale and chord roots, with no MIDI routing. STAB is a separate plugin and a separate purchase.
One download covers macOS (Universal, Apple silicon and Intel, notarised) and Windows (64-bit). Tested in Ableton Live 12 on Mac and Windows; users report Logic Pro and FL Studio on both.
No subscription, and every update is free from your original download link. STAB and BASS together are €17.
There are 19 free bass loops made with BASS, in key and in time, free to use in your tracks. Drop one back onto BASS and its sound and line come back with it. Or play with BASS in your browser.
