Choose a key and a style, press BITE. BASS writes the bass sound and the line together, rolling, in time, in your key. Press again until it grooves.
Each style writes like the music it is named after. DEEP for warm rolling subs, TECH for short punchy tech house lines, UKG and GARAGE for the skip and swing, HOUSE and DISCO for bounce, plus TECHNO, RAVE, ACID, DNB, Y2K, LO-FI, LIQUID and EXP. Fourteen in all.
BASS is an instrument, not only a note generator. Every line comes with a bass sound made for it, so the first press already sounds like a record. Six knobs shape it: SUB, SLIDE, CUT, DRIVE, DECAY and PUMP, and BEEF for more weight.
Lock SOUND, PATTERN or FX and BITE only rewrites what you left open. Keep two lines side by side in slots A and B, undo and redo, and press VARY for the same line played a different way.
Drag the line onto your timeline as MIDI for your own synth, or as 24-bit audio that loops clean. Drop a WAV you exported back onto BASS and the sound and line that made it come back.
BASS works on its own. If you also have STAB, our house chord stab plugin, open both in one session and BASS follows STAB's key, scale and chord roots by itself, with no MIDI routing. Both together are €17.

It depends on whether you want to write the notes yourself. If you want a plugin that writes the line and plays it for you, BASS does both, with styles for deep house, tech house, UK garage and more, for 10 euros.
Yes. The TECH style writes short, punchy tech house lines, and the PUMP knob gives it the sidechain duck on every beat.
